Doire

Doire, born 2007, by 'All the Diamonds', is a 16hh Irish sporthorse mare. A big girl, but easy going and very friendly.

Heather

Heather, born 2003, is a 16.1hh appaloosa (yes, it's like a wet t-short competition, the spots only come out in the rain). She loves the water and the beach, don't we all?

Elsie

Elsie, born 2007, is a 15.3hh Irish sporthorse.

King

'The King', born 1998 but only with us since 2012, he quickly became a favourite. What a handsome boy, oh yeah!

Blondy

Marley

He so cute!!!!! Marley has been with us since Easter 2011 and he is already a firm favourite.
He is 15hh and was born 2006.
Don't you just want to cuddle him? Bob does.

Bob and Marley

Bob!

Bob the Cob, born 2004, 15.1hh, with us since Easter 2011. He would like to thank Justine for his photoshoot. Bless him.
Hmmmm, hellooo Liath!

Captain

Captain is our 17hh ClydesdaleX. He was born 2004 and has been at Dingle Horse Riding since Easter 2011. He is a fairly awesome chap, in every sense of the word, he loves everyone, and everyone loves him (apart from possibly the farrier).

Rosie

Rosie is a 16.1hh, registered Appaloosa mare, although you may not believe it from the picture! Born 2004 and backed at the yard in 2008, she is coming into her own as a brilliant trekking horse. She has a big stride with a lot of movement. As you can also see from the picture she loves the beach and the water.

Smokey

Smokey is a 16hh sportshorse grey mare, born 1997. Always glad to go on the mountain trek, she is great for beginners and has a fair turn of speed on the canter track for experienced riders.

Holly

Holly is our 15.2hh liver chesnut mare, and lives up to the reputation. Born 2001 and at the yard since 2008, she likes hacking and jumping, and Fuji. She does not like donkeys.

Minstrel

Minstrel is our 14.2hh coloured mare, born 2003 and backed at the yard in 2008. Usually ridden by the guide, she is not your average trekking horse. This awesome little mare is a cross between a space hopper and an electric eel, and jeez is she fast.

Dubai

Dubai the pocket rocket, 14.1hh, born 2000 and at the yard since 2007. She loves to go fast and jump big. Shown here in a lesson by Sue, ridden by Olive, learning that slow and relaxed is also ok to do now and then.

Liath

Liath is a 15.2hh Irish Sporthorse mare, born 1995, she is happy to go trekking or jumping any day, although sometimes she likes to have things her way. Nearly always ridden by the guide as she prefers to be out the front. In 2008 she had a foal, Cookie, who is also still at the yard.

Meg

Meg is our 16.2hh Irish sports horse mare. Born 1995 and at the yard since 2000, she has been doing the job a few years now, and knows how to go about it. A great horse on the beach and a lady on the mountain, she doesn't want to be in front, but pretty close to it will do her fine.

Fuchsia

Fuchsia is our 14.3hh roan mare, born 1989 and at the yard since 1993. What she lacks in size she makes up for in stamina. Our longest standing trekking horse, and lead horse for many years, she certainly knows her own mind. There is very little point arguing with Fushia, but when she has been doing the job a lot longer than any of us who would want to. The first horse I ever rode on the beach back in 2000. She was a handfull then, and not a lot has changed. God bless Fuchsia.

Blasket

Blasket is a 15.3hh bay mare, born 1996, Irish sporthorse. The perfect horse for a nervous beginner on the mountain, she is sure-footed and easy. On the beach is another story however, as she is one of the fastest and keenest, a ride for a confident strong rider who wants to know the meaning of speed.

Cookie

Cookie was born at the stables in May 2008. Shown in the photo above (with mum Liath) when she was a day old, so she is a little bigger now!
